About You You want to experience the specialty of infectious medicine. We are seeking a licensed physician for a temporary position from December 2026 through August 2027 at the latest. You have a genuine interest in infectious diseases. Experience with the Cosmic medical records system is a merit, and we would appreciate it if you hold a driver's license. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and confident in your professional role. You work well with others and contribute to a positive collaborative climate. You can plan and prioritize your work and adapt when circumstances change. The work can be fast-paced at times. You will receive an adapted introduction based on your experience. You will primarily work with inpatients in the Department of Infectious Diseases' ward. The position also includes outpatient clinic work and on-call duty. During on-call hours, you are responsible, with good support from the backup physician, for the department's patients and provide medical advice to other units. The Department of Infectious Diseases is based in Jönköping and serves as the region's knowledge center for infectious diseases. The department consists of a care unit with 24 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consultation and advisory services provided in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. Currently, a pilot program is also underway for hospital-at-home care, where patients are offered the opportunity to receive parts of their antibiotic treatment at home.
