You are offered - the opportunity to participate in research projects within our active research unit, including cardiovascular MRI, cardiovascular ultrasound, and occupational and pulmonary physiology - work with advanced diagnostics and patient flows that are unique to Karolinska University Hospital in the region - the opportunity for specialized training in vascular diagnostics and development within a broad range of vascular diagnostic methods. About the position ME Clinical Physiology is located in both Solna and Huddinge and is one of the country's largest units within clinical physiology with approximately 90 colleagues. The operation is accredited by SWEDAC according to the standard SS-EN ISO 15189:2022. We employ physicians, biomedical analysts, MRI physicists, IT engineers, and administrative healthcare personnel. We also have close collaboration with healthcare administration on related topics. The positions are primarily located in Solna. Since the operation is present in both Huddinge and Solna, there may also be opportunities for internal rotation. We conduct advanced and highly specialized acute and outpatient cardiovascular diagnostics and perform approximately 40,000 examinations per year. Our methods include: - cardiovascular ultrasound - ECG, stress testing, and Holter monitoring - pulmonary function testing - myocardial scintigraphy - MRI examinations of the heart and vessels - cardiac catheterizations and cardiac biopsies. You will work with patient flows that are unique to Karolinska University Hospital, for example, diagnosis of patients with congenital heart disease, before and after thoracic surgery, and patients with ventricular assist devices awaiting heart transplantation. If you wish to specialize in vascular diagnostics, there is an opportunity to work with, among other things, stent graft, (T)EVAR, and dialysis fistula monitoring, as well as renal artery examinations. You will work with the above methods to an extent that reflects the unit's needs and your own wishes and ambitions. We place great emphasis on competency development and have implemented regional competency levels for biomedical analysts in clinical physiology. We have extensive experience in providing specialized training to biomedical analysts and work to help you develop toward your clinical, educational, and career goals. If you have a particular interest in research, there is an opportunity to participate in research projects within our active research unit. The position may also involve administrative tasks related to research and studies. Qualifications Requirements: - Certified biomedical analyst with a focus on clinical physiology Meritorious: - Experience with cardiovascular and/or vascular ultrasound and MRI - Previous responsibility within a section, quality, or methodology - Research experience.
