About the Job At Vikariecentralen, we handle recruitment and staffing of substitute teachers for school activities from preschool through grade 9. We are now seeking substitutes for Gothenburg. You will be offered work throughout Gothenburg, and assignments in surrounding municipalities may also occur. As a substitute, you are expected to be available for work at least 2 days per week, but you choose which days and times work for you. The number of work shifts can vary based on schools' needs, but right now we have high demand and many of our substitutes are offered work equivalent to full-time hours. This is a perfect position to combine with your own business, other work at 50%, or studies. Job Responsibilities: In after-school care, you work with students ages 6-12. You are with students during the school day during breaks, as a resource in the classroom, and then in after-school care. You will participate in various activities and lots of outdoor play. You will help create a playful environment daily. As a student assistant, you work with students who need special support for various reasons. You follow the student throughout the school day and provide support in the classroom, during breaks, at lunch, and in after-school care if applicable. As a substitute teacher, you cover for the absent teacher. Depending on how much notice is given, you may need to plan your lesson, or you may receive a prepared lesson plan.
