Ala School is seeking a committed mathematics teacher for a substitute position during the spring term 2027.
Ala School is a dedicated grades 7–9 school with approximately 130 students. We are a smaller school where relationships, clarity, and close collaboration are important parts of our daily work. Our core values – Teamwork, Trust, and High Expectations – permeate our work and are the starting point in our interactions with our students and colleagues.
Ala works, like all schools in Timrå Municipality, based on a well-managed school approach. This includes, among other things, clear organization and structure, shared working methods, and clear processes and roles. We work systematically to create good conditions for students' learning, development, and well-being.
About the assignment
As a mathematics teacher with us, you are responsible for teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
We are looking for someone with an interest in mathematics instruction and strong commitment to student learning and development. Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is a merit, as is pedagogical education or other relevant experience working with young people.
You are confident in your role, have clear classroom leadership, and create a learning environment where students feel seen, involved, and motivated to develop. You work in a structured and systematic way with student learning and goal achievement and are ready to adapt and develop your instruction based on student needs.
We value that you take responsibility, are solution-oriented, and work well collaboratively. You need to be able to build good relationships with students and colleagues and contribute to a safe and positive learning environment.
Experience with the assignment is a merit, but what is most important to us is that you have the right conditions, commitment, and personal suitability for the role.
The substitute position applies to the spring term 2027, when the regular teacher is on parental leave.
Welcome to submit your application – we look forward to meeting you!
