WORK DUTIES Fredsdalsskolan, a municipal middle school located in Simrishamn city center, is seeking immediately a teacher for instruction in wood and metal crafts. The instruction takes place at Simrislundskolan, in a traditionally equipped crafts workshop, and our students are bussed there. The position also includes teaching grade 3 students at Simrislundskolan. Crafts instruction is distributed over four days and corresponds to approximately 80% of a full-time position. The current position also includes teaching Swedish in grade 5 and some resource hours a couple of times per week, making the employment level 100% this school year. In your role as a crafts teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lesson content together with your crafts colleague. The position also includes ordering and managing materials and equipment. You will give each student the opportunity to develop their skills in a process where thought, sensory experience, and action work together, with a clear focus on sustainable development. QUALIFICATIONS You have credentials to teach crafts with competence in wood and metal. We see that you are a teacher who builds your instruction on close pedagogical relationships with students and that you strive to meet students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, and abilities. We also see that you are a clear leader and have a desire for good communication with parents, students, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability.
