WORK TASKS Teacher for Industrial Technology Program Do you want to educate the industrial workers of the future? Industry is one of the region's most important future sectors, and we are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable teacher for our Industrial Technology Program. Together with colleagues and local companies, you will help give our students the knowledge and skills demanded by today's and tomorrow's job market. Work Tasks As a teacher in the Industrial Technology Program, you are responsible for teaching and mentoring within the program's professional subjects. You work closely with students to create motivation, professional pride, and conditions for lifelong learning. Your responsibilities include, among other things: Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching within industrial technology subjects. Create a safe, stimulating, and developmental learning environment. Assess and document students' knowledge development. Support and coach students in both their personal and professional development. Collaborate with local companies regarding workplace-based learning (APL) and skills supply. Be involved in the program's development work to ensure that the education meets the industry's needs. Cooperate with colleagues within the school's other vocational programs. You will have close collaboration with the local industry and the municipality's business community, which gives you the opportunity to contribute to an education that is relevant, current, and well-anchored in reality. You will also collaborate with colleagues in the Building and Construction Program, Electrical and Energy Program, Sales and Service Program, and Care and Health Program. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in industry, technology, and learning, and who wants to make a difference for young people's futures. We would like to see that you: Have good knowledge of welding, CAD/CAM, cutting operations, and computer-controlled production. Have experience from industry or other relevant professional background. Can organize, plan, and create structure in your work. Are a clear and inspiring pedagogical leader who engages and challenges students in their learning. Have good collaboration skills and see the value in developing the operation together with colleagues. Have good knowledge of the local business community and industry's skills needs, or are interested in building these relationships. Teacher certification and competence in relevant subjects are meritorious, but those with substantial professional experience from industry are also welcome to apply.
