JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you work closely with your colleagues to find creative solutions that meet each student's unique needs. Since the students in the teaching group have significant support needs, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) is a natural and important part of your daily work. As a mentor, you become a trusted point of contact for a number of students, and you maintain close and trusting dialogue with both guardians and other important people in their network. Together with us, you as a teacher create a safe learning environment based on understanding and respect. You are also an active part of our collaborative teamwork, where you contribute your thoughts to the school's pedagogical planning and development. We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference and who is motivated to develop methods that strengthen students' ability to communicate and grow. QUALIFICATIONS What we are looking for: • is a certified teacher. • has knowledge of and experience working with students with severe intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and diagnoses within the autism spectrum. • has strong knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). You are experienced in using, for example, Signing as Support (TAKK), picture support (GAKK), or digital communication tools in teaching. • has a calm demeanor and an inclusive approach. • is flexible, solution-focused, and has strong collaboration skills. You thrive in collaboration, dare to contribute your perspectives, and have genuine engagement for children's and young people's development. It is advantageous if you also: • hold a specialist teacher certification with a focus on intellectual disabilities. • have knowledge of epilepsy or other medical needs that commonly occur in students with multiple disabilities. • have experience working systematically according to methods such as TEACCH or similar frameworks for creating clarity in time, space, and content. • have knowledge of tactile stimulation, sensory stimulation, or motor training for students with significant physical needs. • are experienced in writing implementation plans, pedagogical assessments, and documenting progress.
