We are now seeking a teacher for adapted school with special education teacher training in subject areas and intellectual disabilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you interested in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students? Great! Do you want to contribute to an inclusive and developmental future for them? Then you could be the special education teacher we're looking for. Your responsibilities include mentorship and, together with your colleagues, you help create a school where everyone feels safe and seen as students, guardians, and staff. In teaching, you collaborate with other resources such as preschool teachers, recreation center teachers, and student assistants. You help shape a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with students' best interests in focus. Work is also carried out in collaboration with student health services, guardians, and other actors outside school. Your work responsibilities include, among other things: • Responsibility for planning and instruction, assessment in adapted elementary school with a focus on subject areas. • Responsibility for mapping, implementing, and evaluating activities according to established goals and guidelines • Using your expertise to challenge and support students so they achieve good academic results and adapting your instruction based on all students' needs and circumstances. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Hold teaching certification for grades 4-6 or 7-9 and have further education as a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities and subject areas. • Have good knowledge of working with digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office, and are accustomed to using a computer/learning tablet as a pedagogical tool. • Are well familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for adapted school. • Have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. It is desirable if you have experience working in adapted school and have worked with the following areas: intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, Rh, vision and hearing. Previous experience with AAC, sign language, and low-arousal approaches is also advantageous for the position. To succeed in the role, you have: • A genuine interest in working with students with different needs and abilities. You see opportunities in creating functioning solutions for each student's needs and are good at continuously evaluating and improving teaching methods and student progress. • Aptitude for leading and motivating students and getting them to thrive and feel good. You have a good ability to create trusting relationships and get students to feel safe, belonging, and included. • As an applicant, you have clear classroom leadership, are factual and structured, and work for good relationships with both students and guardians. • Good collaboration with others and adapt to different situations and can change your perspective and approach. As a person, you have the ability to spread calm and stability. • An ability to flexibly adapt your working method based on the student's needs, receptiveness to learning, and daily condition.
