Folkuniversitetet has extensive experience in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), Adult Education (Komvux), and other adult education programs. We are one of two providers delivering SFI and basic adult education on behalf of the City of Gothenburg. Welcome to us – an independent educational organization with strong ties to universities. About the Positions We are seeking 1-3 new teachers. The work includes teaching SFI during daytime, evening, and/or distance learning. We have students in all study paths. You will be part of a teaching team that works closely with school management, administration, ICT pedagogues, coaches, and support functions. Teaching is conducted on-site at our premises on Lindholmen. Your Competence and Background We are looking for someone with teaching certification and qualification in SFI/Swedish as a Second Language, which is a requirement (minimum 30 university credits), and with experience teaching SFI. You have a genuine interest in language development in both theory and practice and in information and communication technology (ICT). Experience with AI as a pedagogical tool is a merit. You also have very good digital skills and experience from adult education. As an educator with us, you are expected to have a relational approach both toward students and colleagues, the ability to see students' needs, individualize instruction, and bring out each individual's potential. It is important that you are accustomed to working independently and solution-focused. You need to be flexible, responsive, quick, and well-organized. We also see that you value real-world relevance and connections with surrounding society and professional life in language education, as collaboration in talent education or internships is part of the mission. About the Employment Part-time, fixed location in Gothenburg. The positions are temporary until 31/12-26 with the possibility of extension.
