JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher in the after-school program, you, together with other after-school teachers, are responsible for ensuring that instruction in the after-school department meets the requirements outlined in the after-school program's governing documents. This work is done together with all department staff, but you have responsibility for ensuring that the program is varied in both structured and free activities and that different materials and learning environments are offered and used to stimulate students' desire to play, live, and learn. You thus have primary responsibility for ensuring that instruction in the after-school program is goal-oriented. You work to promote students' social development and simultaneously work practically to help students achieve learning objectives, viewing this as a natural part of daily activities. You are part of a grade-level team where, together with your colleagues, you support one another in daily work and jointly drive the development of instruction and activities. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified teacher with a Swedish teaching license and are qualified to teach in an after-school program. Previous experience of at least one school year in a Swedish school is merit-worthy. We expect that you have very good knowledge, both spoken and written, of the Swedish language. It is merit-worthy to have competence in language development work methods, sign support, alternative and augmentative communication, experience working with students with special needs, and picture supports. You are skilled at giving students the opportunity to continue their knowledge development during after-school by working in an interdisciplinary way with focus on integrating mathematics and language learning. You work with the student group as a strength where you see that differences enrich. You believe in collective learning where the individual is an asset to the group and learning situations. You use a curious, joyful, and playful approach. You are well versed in the after-school program's curriculum and build activities on it. You have a talent for creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. It is expected that you are organized, analytical, and work in a goal-oriented manner. You want to actively participate in developing our unit and create a compensatory school that benefits all students. You have great commitment, willingly participate in pedagogical discussions, and see possibilities for both colleagues and students. You are cooperative, flexible, and independent. You enjoy working in a team and have an ease for creating relationships and communicating with colleagues, students, and parents. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term contract.
