The school offers upper secondary education within Natural Resource Management, Vocational Introduction Program, and Adapted Upper Secondary School focused on natural resource management. Vocational Teacher Wanted for Forestry Focus Öknaskolan's Natural Resource Management Upper Secondary Program is looking for you to help launch a forestry focus at Öknaskolan. The first students will start in fall 2027. Until then, you will work on planning, participate in equipment procurement, and assist in recruiting staff for the forestry team, among other tasks. Your Responsibilities The position involves both practical and theoretical instruction in forestry subjects with a focus on machinery and technical equipment for forestry operations. Other subjects within the natural resource management program may also become relevant based on your experience and expertise. We offer stimulating work where student focus is paramount. You will be part of the forestry team that forms the core of the forestry focus. As a teacher at Öknaskolan, you will actively participate in systematic quality work, values-based work, and pedagogical development. Mentorship is included in the position. Your Qualifications You are a forest technician or have equivalent knowledge and experience in forestry. Since forest machinery and technical equipment will be central to the position, it is desirable that you have experience with and are proficient in modern forestry machinery and modern forestry methods. We would like to see that you have a vocational teacher degree. You have strong collaboration skills and are a clear leader in the classroom. You adapt to different situations and create engagement and participation. Together with other staff members, you take responsibility for the school's entire operations. You have the ability to see opportunities for integration between both subject areas and theory and practice. We place great value on personal qualities. A Class B driver's license is required.
