About the Position
Licensed Teacher Grades 4-6
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to recruit a new team member who can teach Swedish/Swedish as a second language in preschool through grade 6, combined with a practical aesthetic subject such as music or visual arts.
If you want to work with us and not just for us, we encourage you to apply for this position. We are looking for someone who can and wants to make a difference.
If you are trained and a licensed teacher and/or have experience teaching, particularly in grades 4-6, as well as another subject such as music and visual arts at the middle school level, you are the person we are looking for.
The school you are applying to is in constant development. Teachers with us should be passionate about sharing their knowledge. You are equally interested in education as you are in learning. You are a role model both as a knowledge provider in your subjects and can motivate our students with good general education and values.
About the Workplace
Vasalundsskolan is an F-6 independent primary school with approximately 330 students. The school is located next to Lundsbäcks colony area in beautiful, green Vasatorp in Helsingborg, easily accessible by car or public transportation. Collaborative learning is something we care deeply about and practice constantly. We enjoy working together and collaborate closely in work teams, which means you never work alone.
The school is a multicultural school where Swedish culture coexists with, among others, Arab culture. Proximity to students, clear leadership, and tactfulness in all situations are important qualities we prioritize in our teachers. We also believe that education and learning are one and the same.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher for primary school grades 4-6 and can also teach and assign grades in music or visual arts. You will join an established work team and be assigned a mentor to quickly become integrated into the work.
We want you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop the school. You meet every student with respect and attentiveness. In addition to having excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, you need good computer skills.
As a teacher with us, you work to create a safe, enjoyable, and educational school. You possess good leadership qualities to create favorable conditions for a good learning environment together with your students. You should be able to handle being challenged by students but also be able to rejoice in their successes.
As a person, you are solution-focused, unpretentious, and flexible. Your work approach is results- and development-oriented. Furthermore, you build sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues through good collaboration skills.
We view the school mission as the most important challenge of all, but we would appreciate it if you have a sense of humor and can appreciate a relaxed collegial work environment.
