Description Gullmarsskolan 7-9 is the municipality's only secondary school, which provides excellent opportunities to work with all of the municipality's young people. Our school is an important, social, and cultural meeting place for our 450 students. Students experience high safety and well-being, and our school is characterized by good relationships between students and staff. More than 70 employees work with us, and we have a very high teacher certification rate with high competence. We have several other professions in addition to teachers who support our students both in teaching and between classes. They relieve teachers so they can focus on learning and instruction. The principal leads the school together with an assistant principal, who together with the work team leaders form the school's leadership group. We have small classes, considerable support staff, and comparatively low teaching hours, but also access to a special instruction group and flexible group attached to each grade level. Our teaching staff are offered mentoring when needed, and newly graduated teachers receive mentor support. The school has an active staff club that organizes activities and social events for staff, which may be part of why we have very low sick leave, low staff turnover, and good well-being. The school has a well-developed development organization and works with collegial learning through collegial development groups, collegial visits, and co-planning. Responsibilities You will teach our students in grade 7 Social Studies (grades 7-9) and Swedish as a Second Language. This also includes mentorship for a class in grade 7 and participation in a grade-level work team. You will work with co-planning and co-assessment together with your work team and subject team. You develop your instruction and participate in our systematic quality work. In your work team, you have support from other qualified teachers and special educators. - have good interpersonal skills and a good ability to establish and develop relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. - are an effective and independent team player and enjoy working in developing and flexible environments. Terms The position is a permanent employment, provided that you have a teacher certification. The position is 100% and is a temporary seasonal position.
