Ektorps School is now seeking a dedicated teacher of mathematics and Swedish for a temporary position. You will meet engaged colleagues, close collaboration, and a school environment where students' learning and development are at the center.
This is a full-time temporary employment starting October 5 through February 12, 2027, with a possible opportunity for extension.
Your Assignment
In your role as a teacher, you will instruct students in grade 6 in mathematics, Swedish, and social studies. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt instruction according to students' needs, interests, and circumstances. You monitor, assess, grade, and document students' learning development. To create the right conditions for students, close collaboration with other teachers, the student support team, and school leadership is required.
You will be part of the middle school teaching team and work closely with your grade-level colleagues and subject colleagues in mathematics, Swedish, and social studies. You will collaborate on student matters, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.
Your Experience
For this position, you must have:
teacher certification with subject qualifications for grade 6 in mathematics and Swedish
good digital competence
strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you also have:
subject qualifications for grade 6 in social studies
experience working as a teacher of mathematics, Swedish, and social studies at the middle school level
experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support.
