Your New Role With us, you will be a teaching instructor in mathematics at the upper secondary level. You are responsible for planning and delivering instruction according to the applicable curriculum and continuously evaluate your own teaching. You contribute to driving and developing the program you belong to together with engaged colleagues. You participate in the subject team to further develop subject instruction. Your role includes a mentorship assignment, which involves close collaboration with student services and the principal to support students' development and goal attainment. Your work will be an important part in helping students grow and succeed. About You We are looking for someone with a completed teacher education and certification to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level. If you also have certification to teach another natural science subject, that is a merit. Previous experience teaching, preferably in upper secondary school, is a merit, as is experience leading young people for educational purposes. As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to move forward in your own planning and instruction. You recognize the importance of building good relationships with students in order to motivate them to learn. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have excellent ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developed work climate together with your colleagues. About Our School Aleholmsgymnasiet is part of Höglandsgymnasiet, a collaboration between upper secondary schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda, all belonging to Höglandsförbundet. Good to Know The position is full-time with start date at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year or by agreement. Interviews will be held during weeks 32 and 33. To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct certification, we ask you to submit a valid teacher certification obtained from Skolverket that is no more than two months old. As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present an extract from the criminal record register for work in schools. You request this register extract from the police website. If you are called for an interview, you will need to be able to provide proof of your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a certificate of identity together with a valid ID document. A certificate of identity is ordered from the Swedish Tax Agency under my pages.
