About Franska Skolan Franska Skolan is a Swedish non-profit independent school with a history dating back to 1862. We follow the Swedish curriculum and teach in Swedish, but students study French from preschool. Prior French experience is not required – but if you thrive in an international and multicultural environment, you will feel at home with us. We are a preschool through upper secondary school with approximately 950 students, centrally located near S:t Johannes kyrka in Stockholm. Responsibilities We are seeking an engaged and relationship-building teacher of physical education and health for grades 1 through 6. You have a strong ability to create safety and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You believe in every student's potential to develop and use varied, student-centered teaching methods. You work in a structured and clear manner, have an inclusive approach to learning, and recognize the importance of student participation in instruction. You are a team player who enjoys developing teaching methods together with colleagues and actively participates in the school's pedagogical work. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues to integrate physical education and health with other subjects so that students see connections in their learning. Mentoring is included. This is a fixed-term position starting October 12 through approximately February 26, 2027. Qualifications We are looking for you to be a certified teacher of physical education and health for younger ages (preschool–6). You are confident in your teaching role, have clear and inclusive leadership, and work to ensure all students experience joy in movement and a sense of belonging. You have strong collaboration skills and a positive attitude that contributes to a safe and creative work environment. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on our governing documents.
