Job Description We at Lilla Gårdstensskolan, a 1-3 adapted primary school, are now seeking a recreational teacher. This is a permanent full-time position. At our adapted primary school, we have 24 students divided into two different classes. One class where students study specialized subjects and subject areas 1-3, and another class where students study only subject areas 1-3. Some students require even more tailored approaches based on their individual needs and abilities. This means that together with your colleagues, you will create opportunities to offer activities that meet each student's needs and abilities every day. This requires clarity through structure, communication, and body language. At our adapted primary school, we place great emphasis on language and communication, where AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is a significant part of instruction and education for our students. Working with clarifying pedagogy and creating good learning environments for students is an important focus area at Lilla Gårdstensskolan. Job Responsibilities At Lilla Gårdstensskolan's adapted primary school, we have two recreational programs with a combined total of 16 students. As a recreational teacher, you will have an overarching role for both recreational programs regarding FRIPPAR, planning, and an enhanced responsibility for monitoring the established goals for both groups. You will work closely with the recreational coordinators for each group, and you will also have student assistants who carry out activities with the students. The team consists of one recreational teacher and student assistants who work together to create a good and educational environment for students during their time in the recreational program. We believe that good relationships with students and guardians are important for learning. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified recreational teacher. We would appreciate experience working at an adapted primary school. You are well-versed with the regulatory documents governing the recreational program's mission and are familiar with and knowledgeable about how systematic quality work is conducted so that the recreational program and students can develop. You work in a structured and deliberate manner to create a learning environment in and outside school that both challenges, creates safety, and promotes learning based on our students' abilities. You have the ability to observe and adapt activities based on the group's and individual students' needs. Your leadership is natural and you easily build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
