JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher in the after-school program, you support and stimulate children and young people's learning before, during, and after the school day. Before and after school hours, you are responsible together with colleagues for the after-school program. During the school day, you work as a resource with groups or individual students, or teach a subject. You create good collaboration with guardians and actively participate in the school's development work. Student welfare work is a central part of our operations. We have access to all student welfare professions and collaborate closely to create the best conditions for our students. Our work is characterized by an inclusive approach, and we value good relationships with both students and guardians. Collegial learning is an important part of our business development, where we together create new knowledge and develop our methods. We want every student to feel safe and have the opportunity to develop. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with certification in after-school education. Previous experience in a similar role may be advantageous but is not required. Stable: You are driven and a trustworthy role model for students. You remain composed in stressful situations and focus on the right priorities. You work in an inclusive manner and are experienced in applying low-arousal approaches when needed. Flexible: You are well familiar with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize and vary instruction based on students' needs. Student wellbeing is always your focus, and your approach is characterized by seeing possibilities in change. You adapt easily to changing circumstances. Organized: You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You are experienced in working independently toward set goals and have good knowledge of the school's and after-school program's governing documents. Clear: You are clear and communicative and can adapt to each individual student's needs. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. ABOUT THE WORKPLACE Hubbarpsskolan is a multicultural grades F–6 school with an after-school program. The school is centrally located in Tranås with proximity to nature, the city's activities, and within walking distance to the train station. The school is organized into three work teams: the after-school program, grades F–3, and grades 4–6. We also have special education teachers, a counselor, and a school nurse. We are a positive and engaged staff with plenty of laughter. The school also has three health ambassadors who run activities that strengthen community and well-being in the staff group.
