Hagabackens School is characterized by learning, care, and responsibility. For us, this means we work with the student at the center to create the best conditions for learning. The preschool class, after-school program, and classrooms form the whole of Hagabackens School, and learning takes place in all these activities. We address the challenges we encounter in our operations with the student's best interests at the center. We always start from care for the student and the student's needs. Good collaboration within the school and with families is an important part of this. Hagabackens unit is a preschool through grade 4 school with approximately 120 students in the school and approximately 70 students enrolled in the after-school program. In the school and after-school activities, approximately 15 educators work. We have a pleasant school environment that invites activities and teaching. We have access to nature, and local history naturally becomes part of our day. We continuously work to improve our work environment to provide our students with the best conditions to meet the challenges of tomorrow and feel satisfied with their school. 1 position(s). WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As an after-school teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing the after-school program in accordance with the curriculum. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful learning environment where students' social development, creativity, and desire to learn are at the center. Your duties include: • Plan and lead activities that promote students' development and learning, both individually and in groups • Strengthen students' social skills, cooperation, and responsibility in everyday life • Work with language development and value-based approaches in all parts of the program • Collaborate closely with the school's teachers to create continuity in students' school days • Contribute to a good and safe learning environment during both school and after-school time • Maintain close dialogue with guardians regarding students' well-being and development At a small rural school, you become an important part of a smaller team where flexibility, collaboration, and a holistic approach are decisive. You are expected to participate in the school's collective development work and contribute to creating a unified and safe operation for all students. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as an after-school teacher or has other pedagogical education that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of the after-school program's mission according to the curriculum and the ability to implement it in practice. For this position, you must: • Have experience working with school-age children • Be confident in your leadership and have good ability to create structure and clarity in the program • Have an inclusive and relationship-building approach • Be flexible and enjoy working in an operation where collaboration and shared responsibility are central • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish It is a merit if you have: • Experience working in after-school programs • Expertise in creative activities, movement, or outdoor education • Experience working in small operations or rural schools We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
