Description Located between a lush forest area and a residential neighborhood, you'll find Bräckeskolan. Bräckeskolan serves students from preschool class through grade 6, and includes an after-school program. We have approximately 60 staff members serving 530 students. Our after-school program has 6 departments for students in grades F-6. We are now seeking a teacher for the after-school program with responsibility for planning and instruction in the after-school setting, preferably with credentials in visual arts or home economics. Job Responsibilities Together with the school's other after-school teachers, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating after-school activities in accordance with applicable curriculum guidelines and program objectives. You will work to strengthen students' learning processes and create an engaging and varied school day with students' well-being as the focus. You will ensure that educational activities are designed so that each student's unique circumstances and abilities are recognized and utilized. You collaborate with guardians, student support services, work teams, and other school staff. Together with your colleagues, you will participate in pedagogical work throughout the school day, including teaching lessons, organizing recess activities, and supporting students individually, in groups, or in the classroom. Qualifications We are seeking a certified after-school teacher. Previous experience working in an after-school program is advantageous, but we also welcome newly graduated teachers. We prefer candidates with credentials in visual arts or home economics. You have the ability to engage with children and young people with warmth and clarity. As a person, you are attentive and open to understanding others' needs, feelings, and perspectives. You communicate information and ideas clearly and ensure your message is understood. You adapt your communication to your audience, target group, and situation. Through listening, showing interest, and demonstrating respect, you work well with others. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as successful as possible. You keep in mind those we serve and their well-being. The role also requires you to take responsibility for your tasks and the team's tasks. You do your best to complete all work assignments correctly and follow up on outcomes.
