Stenkulan is a two-parallel F-9 school with nearly 500 students, 65 staff members, and consists of two units: F-grade 3 and grades 4-9. JOB DUTIES At Stenkulan you teach in your subjects and have a subject colleague whom you meet during the week to co-plan instruction for your students. You will teach students in grades 7-9 in full classes, but parts of the position also involve teaching in smaller settings where a smaller number of students are present for parts of the school day. You are part of a mentor team at the upper secondary level where you and your mentor colleagues share mentoring responsibilities for students in the grade. Together you are responsible for leading effective pedagogical leadership for the groups you lead and for developing the quality of instruction with students' best interests in mind. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and English for grades 7-9. Your instruction is characterized by well-thought-out planning that makes student learning visible and conscious, clear leadership that supports student development. It is important to you to increase students' engagement and interest in their learning, and you approach your assignment with positive drive. You are interested in your students' perspectives on learning and school in general, and you work methodically and patiently to create trusting relationships between yourself and your students. You differentiate instruction with the goal of leading all students toward achieving learning objectives. For you it is self-evident to work with digital tools and you are well versed in the school's governing documents. In your profession you are self-directed and can lead, motivate, and create engagement to increase students' desire and interest in all aspects of your subjects.
