The Role The role involves working as a teacher in automation technology at Campus Vipan in Lund, with responsibility for educating adult students to become future automation technicians. The position combines technical expertise from industry with pedagogy, where theory alternates with practical exercises and laboratory work. The teacher will also be an important link between education and industry, through collaboration with companies and responsibility for ensuring the education meets the needs of the job market. Job Responsibilities Plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction in automation technology. Teach PLC programming, Siemens TIA Portal, electrical systems, pneumatics, motor control, sensor technology, control engineering, and robotics, among other topics. Combine theoretical components with practical exercises, laboratory work, and troubleshooting. Develop and create instructional materials, laboratory exercises, and practical exercises. Adapt instruction based on students' varying experience and knowledge levels. Monitor students' knowledge development and provide support, guidance, and feedback. Take responsibility for and develop students' work-based learning/internships and contacts with workplaces. Collaborate with industrial companies and other industry partners. Ensure that the education content is relevant for today's and tomorrow's job market. Contribute to the continued development of automation education and its working methods. We Are Looking for You We seek an experienced and engaged automation technician with strong practical industrial experience who wants to take the step into a teaching role. You are technically confident, solution-oriented, and have a good understanding of how automation systems function in real production environments. You have particularly strong competence in PLC programming and Siemens TIA Portal, as well as broad knowledge in, for example, electrical systems, pneumatics, motor control, sensor technology, control engineering, and robotics. It is important that you enjoy teaching and can make complex technology understandable for people with different experience and backgrounds. You are pedagogical, clear, and engaged, and you thrive combining theory with practical components. We would appreciate if you have experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and problem-solving in industry. Experience in teaching or mentoring is a merit, but the most important thing is your technical expertise and your willingness to develop others.
