Ilandaskolan | Karlstads kommun Job Responsibilities As a teacher in grades 7-9, you have a central role in developing students' knowledge, language skills, and confidence in their own abilities. Based on the curriculum, you plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction in Spanish, Swedish, and English based on students' individual circumstances, needs, and goals. You create teaching that is varied, clear, and motivating, where students are given the opportunity to develop their communicative skills, language awareness, and critical thinking. You are responsible for planning instruction by formulating goals, choosing relevant working methods, methods, and learning resources, and creating a structure that promotes safety, order, and learning. Through continuous follow-up, assessment, and feedback, you support students' knowledge development and help them reach as far as possible based on their circumstances. The role includes actively contributing to the school's development work and creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment together with colleagues. You collaborate closely with work teams, student services, and guardians to strengthen both students' knowledge development and their social development. Together with students, you evaluate and develop instruction to create engagement and participation. Through reflection on your own practice and collaboration with colleagues, you contribute to continuously improving the quality of instruction, student learning, and your professional teaching practice. Qualifications We are seeking you with teacher certification for grades 7-9 in the subjects Spanish, Swedish, and English. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and good didactic and pedagogical abilities. You lead and organize your work to create safety, order, and a good learning environment for our students. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
