Warehouse and Service Technician at FCP Jönköping
FC Production AB · Full-time
Elmiavägen 13 - HALL E, JÖNKÖPING, Sweden
Equipment is our business. You make sure it works, is in stock, and comes back in one piece. FCP* supplies the technology behind events, conferences, concerts, and trade shows. We set up and run productions on-site, we rent equipment to others who know their trade, and we build permanent installations. Sound, lighting, video, and LED — many productions every year, and all of them pass through our warehouse. Now we're looking for someone to take care of it. THE ROLE You keep the warehouse organized. In and out. Pick, pack, inspect on returns, handle discrepancies. Everything that goes out must be complete and working — and everything that comes back must be checked before it's restocked. Organization. Labeling, placement, warehouse logic. Making sure items are where they belong and can be found at six in the morning when there's a rush. Service and maintenance. Function checks, cable care, minor repairs, supplies and batteries. Broken equipment gets flagged and fixed — not restocked to be discovered at the next job. Transport. You regularly drive out and pick up goods. The system. We work in Rentman and Notion. What's in the system must match what's on the shelf. The flow. Packing lists, routines, how goods move through the facility. If you see something unnecessarily complicated, we want you to change it. The role is primarily about warehouse and logistics. But there will also be times when you assist on jobs out in the field. SOMETHING TO BUILD ON Our warehouse manager splits time between productions and warehouse work. There simply isn't enough time for both. That's where you come in — to lighten the load, and to gradually grow into a role in warehouse and service. You'll step into something well-thought-out and working, with colleagues who can explain why it's set up the way it is. But it needs more time and care than we can give it right now. You'll grow into it at your own pace. And you'll help shape how we develop it going forward. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Two things matter most. Organization. Someone who keeps things in order — and restores it after intense periods. A mistake in a packed case is only discovered on-site, when it's too late to fix it. Professional pride. Making sure everything that leaves our warehouse is in top condition, every time. Not because someone's checking, but because you wouldn't want to hand off something you wouldn't accept yourself. Our baseline should be high — and you set it here. Beyond that: Experience from equipment rental, warehouse, workshop, stage, or event technology Thorough even when things move fast Practically minded and technically curious. You want to understand the equipment, not just move it You're not afraid of a screwdriver or a multimeter. Swap a connector, troubleshoot why something isn't working right, fix what can be fixed — and recognize when something should go to service instead You like working by a process, and improving it when it doesn't work. Order should exist both in the space and in the system You take things all the way to completion. You see what needs doing and get started — and half-finished doesn't count as done. If you won't make it, you speak up in time instead of letting it sit B driver's license is required. BE is preferred, and C or CE is very valuable Forklift certification and lift certification are needed for the job. If you have them already, that's a plus — otherwise we'll arrange them once you start Swedish and English The warehouse is your base. You'll come out on productions sometimes, but this is where you make your biggest difference — and where you get to build something that's yours. SCOPE We care more about finding the right person than checking off an exact job grade. If there's reason to set up the position differently to suit you — talk to us, we listen. What matters is that the tasks get done, and that you're comfortable with working hours sometimes being uneven. WHAT YOU GET Fixed monthly salary. Not invoices, not hours that vary with the season. Plus vacation, occupational pension, sick pay, wellness allowance, and meal benefits. An equipment inventory from well-known manufacturers that you'll get to know better than anyone else here. High standards you don't have to fight for. We care about the condition of what we send out. If you want to maintain a high baseline, you'll get support, not sighs. Colleagues who see what you do. Everyone here knows each other and knows what the others are working on. Role boundaries are flexible — some days you solve something that strictly speaking was outside your description, and the next day someone does the same for you. PRACTICAL DETAILS Until further notice, with an initial trial period. Based at our warehouse in Jönköping. Evenings and weekends occur. APPLY Email [email protected]. Tell us what you've worked with, ideally a place where you brought order to chaos, and why you're the right person for the role. Include your CV and tell us a bit more about yourself as a person, then we'll take it from there! If you have questions before applying, feel free to email them there. We review applications continuously and get back to you within a week.
