Eterni's client Windy Boats in Västervik is looking for experienced and skilled boat painters. As a painter employee at Windy, you will work in Västervik and be part of a team of skilled and competent boat builders. Windy, a well-known brand in the boat industry, develops and manufactures exclusive boats, and as the boats become larger and more technologically advanced, you will have continuous opportunities to grow and learn new things. Boat models vary in size from 26 to 77 feet.
WORK DUTIES
You will work with wet painting in an industrial setting where precision and craftsmanship are critical. Both larger and smaller parts will be painted. As a boat painter, you will be an important part of creating high-quality surfaces and finishes on both larger and smaller boat components. You will work with wet painting where craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail are essential.
Perform wet painting of boats, boat parts, and other components
Ensure consistent quality, correct color, and high-quality finish
Carry out quality inspections and, if needed, correct or improve painted surfaces
Follow safety regulations, workplace procedures, and quality requirements
Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to achieve the best possible results
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Documented experience with wet painting, preferably within the boat industry
Good understanding of painting work
High level of craftsmanship and a natural eye for detail
Thorough, quality-conscious, and accustomed to working with high precision requirements
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Responsible, solution-oriented, and flexible
Good physical fitness and willingness to work with both small and larger components
Swedish or English proficiency in speech and writing is required
Meritorious: painting training, experience with boat painting, or knowledge of paint and coating systems
ABOUT THE POSITION
The boat painter position is a full-time consulting assignment. You will be employed by Eterni and work as a consultant for Windy Scandinavia. After six months, there is a very good opportunity to become directly employed by Windy, provided there is interest in living in Västervik. For foreign boat painters, housing is available in Västervik. Similarly, housing may be available for those living in other parts of Sweden with several years of experience as boat painters.
The ability to work 2-shift schedules is a requirement.
