With Presence – Prayer – Reconciliation as our guiding principles, the Church of Sweden in Lund is taking new steps to meet future challenges. The Church of Sweden in Lund is a pastorate with 7 parishes, 1 cathedral, 15 churches of which one is a cooperation church with EFS, 3 chapels, and 2 preschools, funeral services and an office. Additionally, we have a Hospital Church, Family Counseling and a Diaconal Center. Here work over 200 employees and numerous volunteers, of which over 130 are elected representatives. The Church Council has overall responsibility and all operations are led by the Dean. Each parish has a parish council and a parish pastor. Norra Nöbbelövs and Torns parishes are adjacent to each other in northwestern Lund. The parishes wish, with a Christian foundation where the Gospel is at the center, to offer people a context characterized by mutual respect and trust. The parishes have a rich range of activities aimed at different age groups which we wish to continue developing. The parishes consist of a shared team of sixteen people with close collaboration, as the parishes have a joint parish pastor and several employees serve in both parishes. This also applies to this position, which formally has employment of 50% in Norra Nöbbelövs parish, as the parishes offer, among other things, shared baptism, wedding and funeral services. This position requires membership in the Church of Sweden. Duties Internal supervision of the parish hall and church and its furnishings. Serve at services and church ceremonies and ensure that the churches are welcoming to visitors. Have overall responsibility for the caretaking of the parish. Administration related to the duties. Cleaning of the church. Education and Experience Completion of folk high school education for church caretaker is meritorious. Experience from the Church of Sweden is meritorious. Qualifications Work independently and in a team. Good collaboration and networking skills. Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Ability to plan, prioritize and organize your own work. Take own initiative and develop activities within the scope of the position. Basic knowledge of digital systems, with the ability to learn those required by the position. Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are necessary as there is no access to public transportation to some of Torns churches.
