We are now seeking a church musician who wants to contribute to and develop the musical life in the western area of Västerås pastorate. Here you will be welcomed to a small work team with the opportunities of a large pastorate! About the Position In this role, you will be responsible for music at services and church ceremonies. You will lead choirs for both children and adults, hold musical devotionals, and arrange concerts during the year's holidays. You will also have the opportunity to, together with your engaged colleagues, help shape and develop the role and work based on your competencies and driving forces as well as the needs you see around you. The position is primarily located in a rural area consisting of three congregations: Barkarö, Dingtuna-Lillhärad, and Rytterne – each with its unique character. The area is characterized by a pioneering spirit and offers a fantastic environment and unbeatable surroundings. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has a church musician degree at minimum level C Masters organ and piano with confidence and musical skill Has experience with congregation activities Has experience leading choirs Has basic computer skills Has a class B driver's license and access to a car Can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you: Can play multiple instruments Have experience with music projects, such as arranging concerts or similar Have experience collaborating with external actors such as schools and/or associations Personal Qualities To thrive in this role, we believe you are someone who works well with others and meets people in a responsive and flexible way. Finally, you are flexible and easily adapt to changed circumstances. You see possibilities in the fact that conditions can change quickly – both organizationally and in practical activities – and adapt your working methods accordingly. In Conclusion The position is a permanent employment at 100% full-time with daytime, evening, and weekend duties included.
