We are now seeking a Quality Manager for PU Sandviken HOT, Tube Division at Alleima. The unit extrudes stainless seamless tubes (so-called Hollows) from special alloys, primarily for further processing internally but also directly for the external market. Your Role As Quality Manager, you have a central role in ensuring and further developing the operation's quality work. You are responsible for quality processes and quality systems and lead and coordinate investigations into quality deviations, from daily production-related matters to more extensive quality incidents. An important part of the assignment is to build and anchor a strong quality culture where quality permeates the entire organization, with a focus on preventing errors and ensuring that deviations are detected and handled before the product reaches the customer. The position involves close collaboration with production, process engineers, research and development, the market organization, and other internal customers. You actively participate in quality forums, product group meetings, and cross-functional collaborations to analyze production results, support product development, qualifications, and production trials, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities · Drive and develop quality work to prevent production errors and reduce scrap, waste, and complaints. · Ensure that the operation meets and complies with relevant quality standards and certifications, such as ISO 9001, to strengthen customer confidence. · Lead and coordinate deviation management by identifying root causes and driving effective, long-term improvement measures. · Engage and support the organization in quality matters by translating quality goals into clear and value-creating activities in daily work. Your Profile We are looking for someone with a degree in Materials Engineering, Engineering Physics, or another relevant technical field. You have several years of experience in roles such as engineer, project manager, quality engineer, or similar, where you have combined technical expertise with analysis and improvement work. Experience from manufacturing industry is an asset. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You thrive in an operations-focused role where quality is in focus and have good knowledge of quality standards and management systems, such as ISO standards. You have the ability to interpret complex requirements and regulations in a pragmatic way and translate them into improvements that create value for the operation. Furthermore, you have a strong toolbox within improvement work and experience with established methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S, which enables you to drive structured improvement initiatives and create long-term results. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, which are characterized by being structured, analytical, and self-driven with a natural ability to lead groups, meetings, and projects. You prefer to work data-driven and have experience with analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI. You are comfortable handling complaints, customer feedback, and quality deviations and representing the operation both internally and externally. The role requires a solution-oriented approach, good judgment, and the ability to drive matters from analysis to implementation. This is an operational and operations-focused role where you actively contribute to developing and strengthening quality work.
