Ceramic Instructor – Rewarding Freelance Position

Ceramic Instructor Wanted! Medborgarskolan in Varberg is seeking ceramic instructors for fall term 2026 and beyond. Are you passionate about ceramics and creative work and want to share your knowledge? We are now looking for dedicated ceramic instructors who want to teach courses with us starting fall term 2026. Courses consist of 10 sessions of 3 hours each and are held primarily in the evenings once a week. Other arrangements may be available such as daytime and weekend classes, to be discussed with the responsible person if you have the capacity to take on additional courses. About the Role: As a ceramic instructor at Medborgarskolan, you will have the opportunity to inspire participants and guide them in their creative work. You will plan and conduct your sessions independently but with support from our organization. Your Responsibilities: Lead and teach ceramic classes. Prepare inspiring and developmental course sessions. Adapt instruction to the group's level and needs. Introduce various ceramic and creative techniques. Finish participants' work through glazing and firing. Responsibility for safely managing and maintaining the ceramic kiln. Clean and maintain our ceramic workshop. Create a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for participants. We Are Looking for Someone Who: Has experience and solid knowledge of ceramics. Is engaged, pedagogical, and creative. Has experience teaching or leading groups (preferred but not required). Wants to contribute to adult education and create meaningful experiences for our participants. We Offer: Pay per teaching hour (45 minutes). Flexibility to teach at times that suit you, primarily evenings. A rewarding role in a creative and inspiring environment.
