About Us Forensic Psychiatry is a unique operation within Sahlgrenska University Hospital, located in Gunnilse approximately 20 minutes by public transit from central Gothenburg. The mission of Forensic Psychiatry is to provide individually tailored psychiatric care and rehabilitation to patients sentenced to care. The operation has outpatient and inpatient facilities with enhanced security classification and also treats patients deprived of liberty under other legislation when they require acute psychiatric specialist care. Forensic Psychiatry has a responsibility to protect society, where the goal of the operation is to conduct rehabilitation in a safe manner for patients, employees, and society. Forensic Psychiatry thus has a dual mandate with both public safety and care in focus. The operation has six inpatient units and in addition to this there is an activity center, an outpatient clinic with mobile teams, and additional units with important functions for the operation. Our units work in close collaboration with the research unit CELAM (Center for Ethics, Law and Mental Health). What Do We Offer You? Forensic Psychiatry conducts and develops specialist care with a focus on interprofessional rehabilitation. Our goal is to offer stimulating and developmental work, where you collaborate with colleagues from various professions to conduct care, rehabilitation, and treatment. You will have access to the operation's rehabilitation facilities, such as a gym and swimming pool, for personal use. Job Description Our interprofessional teamwork is the foundation for work with patients. The curator is responsible for coordinating with external parties (social services, residences, relatives, etc.) and serves as the team's knowledge resource regarding interventions for the patient from societal actors. In the team you work together with other professional categories in the operation, carrying out tasks including care planning, risk assessments regarding threats and violence, investigations, and individual support measures. The curator provides the psychosocial perspective, with the goal of supporting patients to return to life in society without relapsing into criminal behavior due to mental illness. Our curators are placed on inpatient units but work with patients in both inpatient and outpatient care for increased patient safety and greater continuity in care. This position is a fixed-term substitute contract for one year. Possible extension in any capacity may become relevant. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a social work degree and a strong interest in psychiatry. Previous experience with authority functions within social services and/or curator work within healthcare is meritorious, as well as experience in psychiatry. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have experience working with different IT systems and openness to digital care contacts. We would like to see that you are a licensed healthcare curator or have other academic education at the master's level. As a person, you are confident, interested in social issues with an individual focus, and work well collaboratively. You enjoy challenges and work with a solution-focused and structured approach.
