The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Treatment Unit in Gävle comprises approximately 35 employees. We are tasked with treating children and young people ages 0 to 17 who suffer from moderate to severe mental illness, serving Gästrikland as our catchment area. Our team includes physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and administrative staff. As part of our care delivery, we operate a 24/7 emergency response line in Gävleborg that handles acute cases and conducts assessments. This response line is staffed by experienced clinicians from various professions beyond medicine. Our inpatient care is conducted in collaboration with adult psychiatry. Additional collaboration partners include primary care, child and youth rehabilitation services, social services, and schools.

To deliver quality and comprehensive care to our patients, we work in multidisciplinary teams to create a creative environment with diverse competencies and knowledge perspectives. We offer evidence-based treatment based on national care programs and guidelines. You are expected to become an important part of the unit's development work and contribute to creating strong teamwork while making a real difference for children and young people.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of social worker, you should
• hold a degree as a social worker
• be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
For this position, it is advantageous if you have experience working with children, young people, and their families and/or in psychiatry, as well as basic psychotherapy training with a focus on CBT, and if you hold a valid driver's license (category B).
