Pediatric and adolescent healthcare at Helsingborg Hospital consists of a Pediatric and adolescent medical emergency clinic, Inpatient ward for children and youth, Neonatal ward, Day care unit and scheduled Pediatric and adolescent medicine outpatient clinics in Helsingborg, Ängelholm and Landskrona. In total, we are approximately 300 employees within various professional categories. The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Outpatient Clinic in Helsingborg is an outpatient clinic for children and young people up to 18 years of age. We welcome patients within many different care processes such as diabetes, asthma, allergy, neurology and obesity. Most of our patients have chronic diseases but visits can also involve patients coming on referral for assessment from other healthcare providers. We have doctors, pediatric nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, curators, psychologists and administrative staff. We are open during daytime, Monday to Friday. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES The position is mainly placed within the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Outpatient Clinic's obesity team. You work together with a doctor, nurse, dietitian and administrator in a multidisciplinary team around children and young people with obesity and their families. Currently, the position also includes conversation therapy with CBT interventions, both within the obesity team and other teams at the clinic. The work includes mapping, supportive and therapeutic interventions with a focus on psychosocial factors. You provide support and treatment to children, young people and their guardians. Including parental support interventions. The assignment also includes planning and holding group meetings for guardians together with other team members, both physically and digitally. We collaborate with schools, social services and other healthcare partners to create the best possible support around the child and family. You are expected to drive your work independently, while actively contributing to the team's joint development and patient care. You have good collaborative skills and thrive in a close multidisciplinary collaboration where you together with the team's different professions contribute to the child's and family's care and treatment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a completed degree as a social worker. Licensure as a health and medical care curator is highly meritorious. For licensed professional groups, Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. For non-licensed professions, good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required. We would like to see that you have basic psychotherapy training with a CBT focus. Experience of social work with children, young people and families is meritorious, as is experience in providing parental support both individually and in groups. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience working with obesity and an understanding of the complexity of the disease as well as the psychosocial factors that affect children and families. You need to be comfortable meeting colleagues and patients in digital channels (video calls). As a person you are structured, responsible and have a good ability to work independently. At the same time you thrive in multidisciplinary settings and see the value of close collaboration with colleagues from different professional groups.
