Power Systems Consultant
About the Role
Join Siemens PTI Consulting and help shape the future of energy systems. As a power systems consultant, you combine strategic advisory with deep technical expertise to solve complex challenges in planning, integration, and optimization of electrical power systems. Working at the intersection of digitalization and electrification, you will support utilities, developers, and industrial customers in building resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy systems.
In this role, you will lead and contribute to impactful consulting projects – from advanced modeling and simulation of power systems, to analysis of new connections, grid code compliance, and other system studies. You will translate customer needs into robust technical solutions using industry-leading tools such as PSS®E and PSS®SINCAL, while driving business development through customer engagement and participation in the group's internal development work.
You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Europe and apply both engineering excellence and commercial insights to deliver measurable value. Whether working with renewable integration, system dynamics, or innovations in digital grids, your work will directly support the energy transition.

What Skills Are We Looking For?
Experience using software for modeling, simulation, and analysis of electrical power systems, such as PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and similar tools.
Experience in power system analysis. For example, studies of dynamic phenomena, power quality, and protection systems.
Programming skills in Python for automation/scripting of studies and workflows.
Knowledge of Nordic regulations concerning electrical power systems
Ideally qualified at master's level, or with a doctorate, in power system engineering.
Strong communication skills in English and Swedish.
