Do you want to be part of shaping how we use digitalization to develop the municipality's operations? As a municipal strategist for digitalization, you will have a central role in the municipality's overall development work. You will work on behalf of the municipal director and work closely with department heads, managers, and specialists throughout the organization. 1 position(s). DUTIES Your assignment is to create a common direction for the municipality's digital development and contribute to making digitalization a natural part of operations development. You will work both strategically and concretely, from analyzing future needs and opportunities to leading and coordinating prioritized development initiatives. An important part of the assignment is to develop and implement the municipality's digitalization strategy and ensure that the municipality's digital initiatives align with the strategy and the municipality's overall goals. You will coordinate digitalization initiatives between departments and help create structure and coherence in the municipality's digital development. You will, among other things: • lead and coordinate municipality-wide digitalization projects • follow up on results and effects of digital initiatives and prepare decision-making materials for municipal management and politics • work strategically with areas such as AI, automation, and new digital working methods • support managers and operations in change management and the transition to new working methods • contribute to competence development within digitalization • analyze the external environment, trends, and future needs and translate them into relevant development initiatives. The role involves many contact points and you need to be able to get different parts of the organization to work toward common goals. You will become a unifying link between operations, IT, finance, legal, and management and function as strategic support and a sounding board for digitalization matters. Over time, the role as municipal strategist may develop and involve other focuses for development work. The role's perspective will be to work for the entire municipality and its future development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have experience leading assignments or projects within the public sector as well as experience in operations development and/or change management. You do not need to be an IT specialist, but you need to have a clear interest in digitalization and the ability to engage with digital matters, understand how they affect operations, and be able to understand the bigger picture. You have relevant higher education in the field, for example in public administration and management or IT. At the same time, we are open to other education combined with relevant experience providing you with the competence required for the assignment. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently and at the same time be skilled at creating collaboration. You will lead and drive development without being a manager, which requires your ability to create engagement, build trust, and bring others with you. We are looking for you who are pedagogical and communicative and who can make complex matters understandable to different audiences. You are curious and development-oriented, but at the same time have the ability to create structure, prioritize, and drive the work forward. Since the assignment spans the entire municipality, you also need to be good at listening to different perspectives and finding ways forward when operations have different needs and preconditions.
