We now want to strengthen this work with a Municipal Strategist who works in and close to the Municipal Management Office and is part of the Chief Municipal Officer's management team. The Municipal Management Office has a governing and supportive function where we create the greatest possible value for the municipality's operations and contribute to achieving the municipality's goals. A particularly important mission is to work for a long-term sustainable Sala. About the Workplace Sala municipality's operations are broad, ranging from education and healthcare and social services to more municipal technical operations, such as water and sanitation, property management, and building permits. The Municipal Management Office houses the municipality's central support functions in finance, personnel, administration, procurement, quality, and IT and digitalization. Approximately 65 employees work here in various roles. Together, we form the service platform that enables core operations to deliver quality to the municipality's residents. In your role, you independently drive and take responsibility for your areas in collaboration with other actors within the municipality. Your workplace is in central Sala, and you also have the opportunity to work remotely. Duties In this role, your work is directed toward achieving the municipality's vision and goal areas: security, sustainability, and growth. You will work with governance, management, and quality improvement. You will also provide support to committees in developing and monitoring their operational plans and follow up the municipality's sustainability work. Your task is to create conditions for the entire municipality to be more sustainable and contribute to a shift toward policy goals, thereby creating positive results for both society and its residents. An important part of the position is to actively monitor the external environment, identify needs, establish support, drive change processes, and analyze the municipality's quality as a whole. In addition, you will conduct your own investigations, support projects and operations, and be responsible for preparing matters that go to the Municipal Council. Qualifications We are looking for you with university education or equivalent experience, who has previously worked with these types of issues for an extended period. You are also accustomed to analyzing and producing materials and decision-making documentation of high quality. In your role, you are expected to work in close dialogue with all the municipality's operations and its development. It is meritorious if you have experience working within municipal operations and experience with decision support systems. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The most important personal qualities for success in the role are that you have a commitment to these issues and want to influence, take initiative, and drive your processes in collaboration with others. Since you are expected to occasionally present your issues, you need the ability to speak in front of others and clearly communicate and share your knowledge, analyses, and results. The position is broad, and you will coordinate and lead various development initiatives across a range of different areas. Work tasks vary over time and can change with short notice, so it is important that you have the ability and willingness to reprioritize your work tasks.
