The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, with headquarters in Halmstad is an air force unit where technology is at the center. The unit's operations rest on three pillars – development, education, and war unit production. For the Swedish Armed Forces units to be able to operate, they need functioning equipment, and for that, FMTS is an important cog. FMTS has functional responsibility for the technical service within the Swedish Armed Forces, which among other things means monitoring technical development to be able to anticipate future needs but also to propose changes and improvements. There are exciting development opportunities here for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical service within all branches of the armed forces. We also train conscripted soldiers in logistics and other areas. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both large and small, both at home and around the world. In the Swedish Armed Forces, there is a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good opportunities for internal career mobility, wellness programs, and a good balance between work and private life. The Swedish Armed Forces harness the qualities that diversity and gender balance bring to our operations. We therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences in our recruitment processes. Employment with us means placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security vetting with registry checks will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed for military service. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the scope of this varies depending on the type of position. A CV and personal letter must be attached to the employment application. If you advance in the employment process, certified copies of grades and certificates must always be presented.
