The Property and Streets Office is seeking a communications officer who is early in their career, has particular expertise in social media and experience in communications work within a larger organization. With us, you'll work on communications that make a difference for Malmö residents, visitors, and the city's development. Responsibilities As a communications officer at the Property and Streets Office, you will work strategically and operationally with: Communications support in our projects within traffic, mobility, and infrastructure. Together with project managers, you plan and implement both project-specific and overarching communications initiatives. The work may also include other aspects of our operations, such as maintenance of the urban environment, events, or development projects. Planning, creating, and following up on targeted communications across various channels. This includes work with our websites, social media, digital newsletters, and analog channels such as barriers and signs. Location-based communications in the urban environment to create dialogue and co-creation between Malmö residents and the administration. Social media, by planning and creating targeted content, measuring and following up to optimize impact. You naturally stay updated on trends and formats and understand which audiences are on which platforms. You collaborate closely with other communications officers in our communications teams and with our specialists in visual, internal, press, web, and data-driven communications. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: A degree of at least 180 ECTS credits in media and communication science, marketing, or equivalent education. Experience in communications work where you have produced targeted content across various channels. Documented experience of successfully linking communications to impact and results. Experience planning and creating social media content for a larger organization. Strong knowledge of how to produce effective and engaging content. Understanding and interest in how different social media platforms are used by different audiences, where different audiences are located, and how the different platforms evolve over time. Experience with publishing and ad management in Meta (Ads Manager) and equivalent tools for other platforms such as TikTok. Experience with follow-up and measurement to understand how to optimize your content. Experience working in a politically governed organization is a merit. Experience in photography, film production, and editing is a merit. Experience in communications work within a larger organization is a merit. Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing To succeed in the role, you need to be comfortable working in a team-oriented manner while also independently driving work within your area of responsibility. You'll work with a wide variety of projects in an operation that impacts people's daily lives—every day. Collaboration with others is a central part of your working approach. It is self-evident for you to provide high service and deliver successfully in your assignments. About the Workplace The position is located in the Communications and Digitalization Department. Together with the operation, we create value for Malmö residents through smart communications and digital solutions with the user in focus. You'll have 20 colleagues who work with communications on urban development, major construction projects, land sales, events, and meeting places such as Malmö Festival and Folkets Park. Communications about the maintenance and use of the city's outdoor environments, such as streets, parks, and beaches are also part of our field of work. We work to create good relationships with those who live, work, and visit the city. The Property and Streets Office owns, develops, and manages the city's land on behalf of the Technical Committee.
