If this describes you, you might be who we're looking for! About Us Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Sörmland is a regional clinic serving children ages 0-17 with mental health issues. The operation is divided into different levels of care: primary care, specialist intake, and intensive intake. The Triage Team's mission is to assess and triage those seeking care with us. Currently this happens through incoming phone calls and referrals, but to meet the increased demand, we need to develop new ways of working. The Triage Team is organizationally part of BUP's Intensive Intake Unit (BIM). Our operation has positions in Nyköping and Eskilstuna. We are currently 5 nurses seeking one additional colleague. There are good opportunities for remote work one to two days per week. Your Responsibilities Nurses in the Triage Team work in BUP's front line. You are the first voice to meet those who contact us for advice or support by phone. For new intakes, you conduct a Brief Child and Family Phone Interview (BCFP), a diagnostic interview that serves as an assessment tool and support for providing appropriate intervention. As a nurse in the team, we want you to contribute to assessing the patient's physical and psychiatric health status and place it in a holistic perspective. Referrals coming to BUP are assessed and triaged by you together with your assessment team. Your responsibilities also include doing an initial sorting of incoming urgent phone calls. Your Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in psychiatry and/or working with children and young people. Specialist certification in a relevant specialty is a merit. You are empathetic in your approach and comfortable making assessments and providing advice by phone. You enjoy working independently but collaborate and communicate easily with others. Workload varies, so you need to be able to manage different work tempos together with the team. Tasks are varied but performed according to clear structure and documented for recipients within the organization.
