TP Förskolor AB currently operates 32 preschools across 9 municipalities. We are a private company that provides developmental preschool activities encompassing childcare, play, and learning in a creative environment for children ages 1-5, led by well-educated and socially competent educators. Hagmarkens Preschool and School are located in Bälinge, just outside Uppsala. The facility has been privately operated since 1995 and is now run by TP Förskolor. We are now seeking a kitchen assistant for our kitchen at Hagmarkens Preschool. In our cooking kitchen, meals are prepared for both the preschool and school, which are located approximately one kilometer apart. We prepare approximately 200 portions per day. As a kitchen assistant, you will work closely with our chef and be an important part of the daily kitchen operations. One of your main responsibilities will be to prepare and process the vegetables and side dishes served with meals. You will also work with special diets and help with other meal preparations. Your duties will include: preparing and processing vegetables and side dishes for the day preparing and handling special diet meals washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized transporting meals from the cooking kitchen at the preschool to the school assisting with snack preparations at the school helping with cooking and baking as needed performing other routine kitchen tasks During the chef's absence, you may also need to take responsibility for meal preparation. It is therefore advantageous if you have experience cooking in larger kitchens and feel confident taking on greater responsibility for daily meal production as needed. We are looking for someone with training in cooking/restaurant services or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. Previous kitchen experience is an asset, and experience with special diets is particularly valued. As a person, you are positive, flexible, and thorough. You enjoy collaborating and have a good manner when interacting with both children and adults. The work can periodically be fast-paced, so you need to be able to plan your work, take responsibility, and have a solution-focused approach. Since the position involves transporting meals between the preschool and school, a Class B driver's license for manual transmission is required. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have basic computer skills. Start date November 1 or by agreement.
