Librarian/Library Assistant in Periodicals Reading Room

This is a maternity leave replacement position. Main responsibilities: operating the periodicals reading room, cataloging and processing incoming periodicals, assisting visitors, providing reference services, protecting and maintaining library collections Working hours: shift work between 8:00-19:00 (morning and afternoon shifts), Saturday service 9:00-15:00 (approximately 1-2 times per month) Required qualifications: excellent verbal and written communication skills, pleasant demeanor, excellent knowledge of Czech language in both spoken and written form, computer literacy, attention to detail, independence, responsibility, active approach and willingness to continue learning, clear criminal and moral record, education in library science or experience in a library or bookstore is an advantage Please submit a structured CV and cover letter by September 30, 2026 at the latest.
