About the Position Do you have experience with edge pressing and sheet metal bending? Are you a curious and technically skilled person with an interest in working in the manufacturing industry? Then you've come to the right place! We're looking for an experienced edge press operator with a sense of craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is a long-term position through a staffing recruitment via Montico where the right candidate will be offered direct employment with the customer after an initial hiring period. The position is full-time and is scheduled during daytime hours. Job Description You will perform your work at our customer's facility in Vimmerby where you will operate a Darley edge press. Using technical drawings, you will set up the edge press according to measurements and angles. You will bend, form, and adjust metal sheets in various thicknesses and material types according to specifications, and then perform quality checks on the processed sheet metal pieces to ensure they meet requirements and tolerances. Their edge presses offer high flexibility with pressing force up to 300 tons and the ability to bend components up to 4 meters in length. You will produce recurring series as well as new incoming assignments that include special jobs from small to large, giving you considerable variety in your work. You will be one of several skilled and experienced team members who can provide you with support and expertise outside your area, but most importantly, a well-planned and welcoming introduction to your future workplace. You are responsible and have an eye for detail to ensure that every job is performed with high quality and precision. We would like to see that you have experience from similar tasks previously. As mentioned in the job description above, we would like you to be in good physical condition and enjoy physical work, as you will be handling various types of sheet metal materials with varying gauges and weights.
