The Court of Appeal in Stockholm is the largest of Sweden's four courts of appeal and is also the country's Migration Supreme Court. The court is beautifully and centrally located on Riddarholmen in Stockholm, has approximately 200 employees, of whom approximately 140 are lawyers. The organization consists of four adjudicating divisions, a case administration division, and an administrative unit. The Court of Appeal handles approximately 20,000 cases per year and has approximately 600 different case types, which enables great variety in daily work. 2 position(s). Job Responsibilities As a court administrator, you will be part of the court's case administration division and participate in the administrative handling of cases, from when the case arrives at the Court of Appeal until it has been decided. This includes, among other things, registering information and documents in cases, managing correspondence between parties, calling parties to hearings, and monitoring deadlines. You will also process and issue judgments and decisions. Working as a court administrator is both responsible and varied. It involves extensive contact with parties, attorneys, authorities, and the public, both in writing and by phone. A large part of the work consists of service related to case management. You will work closely with your colleagues. As a court administrator, you will be offered training and continuous professional development by handling and discussing the various issues that arise in the Court of Appeal's diverse case types. You will work together with presenting lawyers and experienced judges. Qualifications You must have completed upper secondary education and experience with qualified administrative work, preferably from a larger organization. Experience in the public or municipal sector is a merit. If you also have paralegal training or other relevant post-secondary education, it may be considered a merit. You must be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing. Oral and written communication in English occurs. Case administration is now almost completely digitalized, so it is important that you are experienced in working digitally, and also have an interest in working with AI as the court has an ongoing development initiative in this area. Court administrators have a very important role for the court to function. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. The Court of Appeal will request a criminal record extract from the person/persons the court intends to employ. Employment The position is placed in the court's case administration division. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Individual salary determination is applied. Start date is by agreement. Selection and employment decisions will be made on an ongoing basis.
