Estimating Engineer at Peab Bygg Bostad Väst, Gothenburg Would you like to be part of developing the homes of the future in Western Sweden? Peab Bygg Bostad Väst is now seeking an estimating engineer who wants to contribute to sustainable and profitable operations from the start of projects. About the Role As an estimating engineer, you are responsible for developing cost estimates and tender documentation for our residential projects. You work early in projects with analyses, risk assessments, and alternative solutions that create value for both the client and the business. You drive the estimating work independently and collaborate closely with colleagues in production, procurement, and project development. Key Responsibilities Responsible for estimating and tender work from inquiry to completed bid. Analyze tender documentation, drawings, and technical specifications. Perform quantity calculations and cost assessments. Gather and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify risks, opportunities, and alternative solutions. Participate in bid preparations and present estimates. Support the operation during handover to production and major change order work. Contribute to the development of estimating processes and knowledge sharing within the region. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with experience in estimating and tender work within the construction industry and who feels confident driving estimating processes independently. We believe you have: Post-secondary education in construction or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in estimating and tender work. Experience from residential, building, or contracting projects. Good understanding of construction production and project economics. Knowledge of contract law. Good experience with estimating tools and digital working methods. Experience with larger or complex construction projects is a plus.
