National Armed Forces Joint Staff (Reg. No. 90000068801) announces a competition for LEGAL COUNSEL for a fixed-term position We offer: responsible work in the field of national defense with stable remuneration and state administration social guarantees; opportunities for professional development and growth; team support and opportunities to participate in significant projects; monthly salary from 1986 to 2174 euro (before tax payment); health insurance, additional leave, vacation allowance in accordance with state administration regulations Main responsibilities: advise agency personnel on drafting regulatory acts and contracts; perform additional legal review and coordination of executive documents; develop draft agreement documents (cooperation agreements, inter-agency agreements, etc.) in the state administration sector, and provide consultations on preparation and conclusion of these agreements, as well as evaluate prepared agreement projects and ensure their coordination; evaluate and coordinate procurement contracts prepared by the Joint Staff and provide consultations on preparation and conclusion of these contracts; participate in drafting internal regulatory acts (Joint Staff regulations, rules, etc.) and external regulatory acts (Cabinet regulations, laws, etc.); perform legal analysis of documents; advise agency personnel on drafting, formatting, application and other legal matters related to administrative acts and other documents. Work location: Riga, Krustabaznīcas iela 9 (on-site work). Requirements for candidates: bachelor's degree in law; preferred 2 years of work experience as a legal counsel or lawyer in state administration; excellent knowledge of Latvian language, precision, responsibility, ability to independently plan work and meet deadlines; Position performance will require obtaining a special permit for access to state secrets in accordance with the second and third parts of Article 9 of the Law "On State Secrets".
