LEGAL CONSULTANT
(one position for an indefinite period; work location: Peldu iela 30, Riga)

IF YOU HAVE:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
level 2 higher education (bachelor's or master's degree in law);
work experience in the legal field of at least 2 years;
professional work experience in the state administration in the legal field will be considered an advantage;
good computer skills (MS Office) and ability to work with office software;
ability to analyze regulatory acts;
very good communication skills;
excellent knowledge of Latvian;
English language knowledge at a level that allows communication, as well as use of documents and literature in the field of work duties, for example, to ensure communication with representatives of the European Commission or other countries, to evaluate international cooperation agreements, to communicate during audits conducted by foreign representatives;
ability to promptly perform analytical processing of large volumes of information and highlight the most significant data, draw appropriate conclusions;
ability to independently make decisions, work in a team, ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, as well as the ability to take responsibility for decisions made;
progressive thinking and ability to show initiative;
category B driver's license and driving experience of at least one year (desired).
IF YOU WANT TO INVEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN INTERESTING, RESPONSIBLE AND DYNAMIC WORK:
analyze the compliance of actual circumstances with the content of legal norms and provide professional legal conclusions;
prepare and review documents (for example, draft responses to submissions, interim decisions, information requests, decisions, etc.) and draft regulatory acts;
prepare draft decisions in administrative violation proceedings and administrative proceedings;
be familiar with administrative violation procedures;
provide legal advice to colleagues and represent the institution in court;
prepare or analyze draft contracts of various types.
