We are seeking a legal expert LSS case officer for the authority management department of the care administration in Solna stad. About Us The care administration is responsible for care for persons with disabilities and elderly care. The LSS authority department consists of ten LSS case officers, a housing coordinator, a coordinator for daily activities, and a deputy department head/social law attorney. Two officers are senior case officers and one officer is a legal expert. As one of our colleagues has moved on to a new position, we are now looking for you to join our team as a legal expert LSS case officer. The position involves approximately 80% work as an LSS case officer with responsibility for your own cases and 20% of working time devoted to legal work. The focus of the work is on investigating, assessing needs, making decisions, and following up on services for persons with disabilities. The role involves qualified work in authority management where you ensure that decisions are made based on legislation, legal precedent, and the individual's needs. You primarily work according to the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), but also handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the National Ride Service Act when needed. The work includes ongoing contact with users, relatives, representatives, service providers, and other authorities and healthcare providers. You work in a structured manner with investigations and follow-ups, where the focus is on legal security, quality, and the individual's participation. Part of the position also gives you the opportunity to contribute as a legal expert, primarily within LSS and SoL. In this role, you serve as qualified support to colleagues on legal matters, contributing to legally secure assessments and guiding more complex cases, especially within personal assistance. You also have the opportunity to participate in work with statements and appeals and contribute to knowledge development within the work group. The role also includes handling data protection matters. The Role Includes: Legal environmental monitoring. Compilation and analysis of court rulings. Providing support in legal interpretation and guidance on appeals, statements, and representing in oral proceedings. Together with the department's social law attorney, you are responsible for identifying the need for and arranging training for the department's staff. Special responsibility for ensuring legally secure assessments in investigations and needs assessments. Compile requested information and report to, among others, the administration management group and board. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for you who: have a law degree or social work degree, or equivalent education have experience providing support or guidance to colleagues in legal or case-handling related matters are knowledgeable in legislation and its preparatory materials as well as the regulations governing our work, particularly LSS and SoL have experience with authority management, investigation methodology, and documentation Express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing It is a merit if you: have experience with LSS case handling have experience working with persons with disabilities have knowledge of IBIC and/or experience with the Lifecare business system To thrive in this role, you are structured, self-directed, and confident in your professional role.
