Description We need to strengthen our operations and are now seeking hourly substitutes for GIA - Gays in Angered. GIA is one of Gothenburg's three meeting places for young queer people and those exploring their identity. It is a youth activity center and a safe space where young people meet to make new friends, talk about life, and have fun with various activities. We work heavily with participation—young people are involved in deciding what we do. We welcome young people ages 13 to 25. The meeting place is protected, meaning we do not publicly share the time and location due to safety risks for some of our young people. The activity is separatist, which is why we are also looking for staff who belong to the community. GIA - Gays in Angered - Find youth centers - City of Gothenburg Responsibilities As an hourly substitute, you will work as needed, primarily in evening activities, usually at the meeting place and sometimes at activities around the city. You may also accompany school visits and other information events when we need extra staff. You can see what we usually do on the activity's Instagram. As hourly staff at GIA, there will also be opportunities to substitute in our other youth activities. Qualifications You are educated or are currently educating yourself in youth work, social work, pedagogy, or equivalent work. You have experience meeting with young people. It is an advantage if you are an active person and perhaps speak multiple languages. It is important that you are a calm and stable person who enjoys meeting young people. You are attentive to needs in the moment but also a good boundary-setter. Recruiting is ongoing. In this recruitment, we do not conduct personal interviews; instead, you will answer some questions.
