15 position(s). Do you enjoy working with children and youth? We are now seeking substitute teachers for preschool and school. We are looking for you to work in preschool with children ages 1–5 years, as a substitute teacher in grades F–9, or as a support staff member in grades F–6. Working as a substitute teacher with us means you have the opportunity to control when you can work. You replace regular staff during shorter absences and perform work tasks that are part of the regular operations at the workplace where you work. In the role of substitute teacher, you need to be confident in yourself and able to adapt to new environments and situations on short notice. Workplaces and work hours may vary, and therefore it is important that you are flexible and have an easy time collaborating with others. We conduct selection and hold interviews on an ongoing basis – but the need for new substitute teachers varies, which means the process may take different amounts of time. School – Substitute Teacher In your role as a substitute teacher, you are responsible for instruction based on given planning and lead the work in the classroom. To work as a substitute teacher, you need to: be comfortable standing in front of a class and conducting instruction be responsible and organized have completed upper secondary education with passing grades be able to communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written inspire confidence and be a trusted adult who can lead a group have the ability to create engagement and participation among students School – Support Staff As support staff in school, you work together with the teacher in the classroom. The teacher leads the instruction and is responsible for planning, while you are close to the students during the school day. You support students in their work, contribute to structure, and create security in the instructional situation. Preschool In preschool, you are an important part of children's daily lives. You support children in their language and communication development, are available in various situations during the day, and contribute to a safe and caring environment. It is desirable that you are familiar with digital tools, work solution-focused, can handle conflicts in a constructive manner, and have the ability to see and meet children's different needs. Qualifications Completed upper secondary education with passing grades. Good ability to communicate in Swedish in both spoken and written form. Studies toward a teaching degree or other pedagogical education, or previous experience working with children and youth, are merits. B-category driver's license and access to a car are merits. Familiarity with working with digital tools. An extract from the police conduct register is required. The extract should be for school or preschool and is ordered via the Police website.
