We are now seeking IT security experts who want to work on developing the cryptographic systems and IT security components that protect Sweden's security. Main Responsibilities The IT Security Specialist role is clearly focused on software and software-related IT security. The role suits you if you want to take responsibility, influence technical decisions, and contribute with deep expertise. The work is conducted in project form where you get to work alongside some of Sweden's leading IT security experts. Your work includes: Specifying and reviewing cryptographic systems, protocols, and IT security components, as well as testing and verifying their implementations. Evaluating security architectures, identifying vulnerabilities, conducting security tests, reviewing code, and setting requirements for products and product development. Developing our policies, standards, and methods within the IT security field. Conducting continuous and systematic environmental monitoring. You enjoy immersing yourself in complex technical contexts and have the ability to critically review cryptographic systems, security architectures, and implementations to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement areas. Precision is important to you and you work in a structured manner with high accuracy. You understand the importance of details when specifying requirements, reviewing code, conducting security tests, and verifying security-critical implementations. You actively contribute in projects and have a natural ability to communicate and discuss complex security issues with others. Qualifications Experience in IT security and/or software development, or other relevant field for the position. Academic education in a relevant field or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. Experience developing in an established systems programming language, such as C or C++. Strong ability to read and write technical documentation in both Swedish and English. Meritorious Experience designing, developing, and delivering security-critical systems. Experience reviewing and identifying shortcomings in the design and implementation of security-critical software. Experience with various development methodologies and producing robust software. A deep understanding of how operating systems function, for example Linux or Windows. Experience with embedded systems or customizing security functions in Linux or Windows. Knowledge of system architecture, domain separation, and concepts such as principle of least privilege. Experience in penetration testing or reverse engineering. Knowledge of signals protection systems. Experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces. In the selection process, great weight will be placed on personal qualities.
