The IT Department at Karlshamn Municipality consists of 23 employees who work daily to support our organization of over 3,200 employees across various levels of the IT environment. We are now seeking an IT Security Manager who wants to be part of our forward-moving work. Responsibilities As an IT Security Manager, you will work in a comprehensive role by systematically and methodically developing and managing the municipality's work in IT and cybersecurity. You will work closely with operations, IT functions, and management, and are responsible for developing, managing, and further enhancing the municipality's systematic IT security efforts, guidelines, and governing documents. Your role also includes supporting operations on matters related to security requirements, risk management, and compliance. You contribute security expertise during changes and development of the municipality's IT environment, such as when implementing new technical solutions, where security assessments and risk analyses are a natural part of the work. An important part of the role is identifying and following up on risks. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with system administrators and systems technicians as well as external vendors and partners. Have experience working with IT infrastructure, such as networks, clients, servers, and cloud services. Have strong knowledge of systematic IT security work, risk management, and security requirements. Have good language skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written. Driver's license category B It is advantageous if you also have… Education at college/university level. Experience working systematically with IT security matters. Experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses. Knowledge of systematic work with management systems. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is analytical and organized, and who finds it easy to build trust in both technical and business-oriented contexts. You possess good communication skills and feel confident educating and introducing others to your expertise. The role requires that you can work independently, prioritize between different security needs, and drive issues from identified risk to implemented solution. About the Workplace The IT Department is part of the Municipal Executive Administration and includes roles such as systems developer, IT coordinator, project manager, systems technician, data technician, telecommunications technician, IT technician, department manager, and IT and Digitalization Manager. The department is centrally located but serves all administrations based on operational needs. Our department currently has a strong focus on strengthening the municipality's IT and information work while building the capabilities required for continued digitalization.
